1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Roshni Homes Trust website and the services offered through it, including donations, child sponsorship, donor and sponsor accounts, forms and newsletters. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Roshni Homes Trust is a registered non-profit organisation in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan, and operates in the United States as a US 501(c)(3) charity.

2. Using our website

• You agree to use the website lawfully and not to disrupt it, attempt to access it without permission or misuse our forms.
• Information on the website is provided in good faith. We work to keep it accurate but cannot guarantee it is always complete or up to date.
• Links to other websites, such as giving platforms, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

3. Donations

• Donations are voluntary gifts to Roshni Homes Trust and are used for our charitable purposes.
• When you give to a specific appeal, we use your gift for that appeal. If an appeal is fully funded or can no longer go ahead, we will use your gift where the need is greatest in line with the original purpose, except for Zakat, which is only used for purposes permitted under Sharia guidance.
• Card payments are processed securely by our payment gateway provider. We never store your full card details.
• You must be authorised to use the payment method you provide.
• Receipts are issued for all donations. Tax treatment depends on your own circumstances and the laws of your country.
• Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

4. Recurring donations

Monthly donations are charged on or around the same date each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your donor account or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges and does not affect payments already made.

5. Child sponsorship

• Child sponsorship costs USD 100 a month per child. You choose how many children to sponsor, and whether to give monthly or once for 3, 6 or 12 months.
• Roshni Homes Trust assigns the children your sponsorship supports and shares their progress with you regularly.
• Sponsorship supports children’s full care within our family homes. It does not create a legal guardianship or any right of contact with a child.
• Progress updates are curated to protect children’s privacy. All information about children is confidential and must not be copied, published or shared.
• Any interaction with sponsored children must be arranged through Roshni Homes staff and is always supervised, in line with our Child Safeguarding Policy.

6. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity on your account. Please tell us straight away if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put children’s privacy at risk.

7. Visits and events

Campus visits and celebrations must be arranged in advance and confirmed by us. Visitors must follow the instructions of our staff and our safeguarding rules, including not photographing children.

8. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, photographs, logos and documents, belongs to Roshni Homes Trust or is used with permission. You may share our pages for non-commercial purposes to support our work, but you may not alter our content or use our name or logo without written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

We provide the website as it is. To the extent permitted by law, Roshni Homes Trust is not liable for any loss arising from use of the website, from temporary unavailability, or from third-party services such as payment gateways and giving platforms. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Donations made through our US operation are also subject to applicable US law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
